Still life
This is a my first still life using a texture which was my bathroom tile and I deliberately blurred the flowers and left the front one sharp.

John, If this is your first attempt at still life then it’s a good effort and it’s nice to you you having a go. If I may suggest however, try introducing an horizon line about two thirds or so down from the top. This will give the image more dimension. The effect would be further enhanced by some shading to help ground the container on the surface. Experiment too with the blending modes in Photoshop. I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.
