Skye Trip (part one)

Skye is talked about as all of the best features of Scotland condensed into a 50 mile long Island it is  full of  Lochs, Castles, Mountains, Sea scapes, Wild Life, and Big Skies.

On route to Skye along the A87 you pass the well known wedding venue Eileen Donan Castle it’s worth a stop.

You can drive over the Sea to Skye via the Skye Bridge, we stayed  literally just over the bridge at Kyleakin.

We had booked a holiday cottage for 7 days and set out each day to cover all corners of the Island, the main roads are good but there is a lot of single track road with passing places.

The Old Man of Storr, Skye’s most the iconic landmark, be prepare to for ever changing weather, it seems to change every 10 mins, and walking about can be a challenge.

The Bride’s Veil Falls, with the Old man Storr in the distance.

I love Skye and personally rate the whole west coast of Scotland as one of the most beautiful places I have visited. Your photos capture a sense of both the landscape and the forever changing weather nicely.
