India Day 8: Journey to Ahmedabad

This morning we left the Pakistan border region and headed back across the Rann of Kutch, retracing our steps in the search for willing subjects of the different tribes in the area.

A lady in the Meghwal tribe.

The Meghwal tribe is based on Hinduism and they live in  permanent structures.  The women wear beautiful and distinct colourful handmade clothing, whereas the men’s is much plainer.

I photographed this family as a formal group for the parents,  and the photo shows the  difference in dress.

Throughout the day I met and photographed men and women of the Rabari tribe working with different cattle.
