India Day 6: Kutch

Our journey resumed at dawn, taking us through small village after village, each presenting us with different traditionally dressed indigenous communities.

A man in the village of Vauva demonstrates his skill with the Lathi.

Eventually we passed through the Rann of Kutch Lake, which evaporates annually to reveal a white salt desert. Where the soil had been excavated to built the road across, large volumes of water remain which are now the hunting grounds for flocks of pink flamingoes.

Whilst stopped for chai in Dholavira an older gentleman was smoking tobacco through his pipe, and he agreed to a quick portrait.
