Colourful Visitor
For those who like wildlife photography, Cleethorpes Country Park has a very colourful newcomer, a Mandarin duck.
I struggled to get an image yesterday as it was so far away (this is massive crop) but I understand it comes quite close sometimes.
It should be somewhere near the red arrow.
Update from our Nature Guru, Colin Smale ~ Mandarin is still there in the same place. Sometimes comes too close to get it all in the viewfinder so if you have only got a short zoom lens you will be fine.
Just go to the red arrow, sit at the picnic table there and watch for the 4-5 mallard ducks there, the mandarin will be with them because he has taken a shine to one of the mallard females. (Well there’s no female mandarin duck about, what can I say!)
