Hand-In for Portrait Competition (prints)

Studio, candid, characterful, photojournalism ( if photojournalism, please make sure the portrait element dominates the image) Sport, stage, group, full length, head and shoulders, face only ~ your choice.  Please ensure the main element of the image is human

I am aware that some members are not keen on portrait photography, so have decided to run 2 sections where members can enter up to 3 prints in Either Portrait ~ Human, or Portraits ~ Animals (including insects, fish etc)
Portrait ~ Human can be staged, street, candid, etc head shot, full length or anything in between,
Portrait ~ Animal can be staged, can be a pet, domesticated, captive or wild animal ~ please ensure that the main element of the print is the animal.
Hand-in remained on 15th June, with the competition on 22nd June.
I hope this opens the competition to more members,

I've always had an interest in photography, starting too many years ago than I care to remember. I have a variety of cameras in working order ~ pinhole, medium format, 35mm and digital. With working full time, there never seems to be enough free time to properly indulge in using them. 10 years or so ago, I took my first (and only!) "A" level ~ in photography. I was the only one on the course to only do darkroom work throughout. My own preferences lie with film and alternative processes ~ Digital is fine for most things, but for me it hasn't got as much "soul"! I enjoy sloshing around with various chemicals and I enjoy the unpredictability of some of the results. Having said that, I am happy to rise to the challenge of digital work and manipulating images for competitions and suchlike when time permits.
