Coronavirus Statement
This week the government has advised we all reduce social contact in an effort to stem the spread of coronavirus. As a result Grimsby Photographic Society will be suspending weekly meetings with immediate effect until further notice.
This will, of course, mean rearrangements of the club programme – including the AGM (previously scheduled for the 2nd of April). Over the coming days and weeks, we will be making announcements through the website regarding various things we can do remotely from home including running PDI competitions where we can view the results through the website – so stay tuned!
The weekly meetings will be suspended until at least the end of April and will be reviewed thereafter. There will be notices in advance via email and on the website about resuming the weekly meet-ups.
In summary: Do not go to the meeting at the URC tomorrow, it has been cancelled. Do keep up-to-date through the website. Please stay safe.
Thankyou for keeping us updated.
I wish everyone well in these difficult times
Stephanie
Is there not a way you could run the AGM on line using Skype or similar…. just to keep members together
Unfortunately not. Ideally, we’d like maximum participation in AGM and doing it over Skype would mean excluding those who don’t have Skype or those who aren’t tech-savvy.
The AGM will be deferred until such a time that we can safely reconvene ~ advance notice will be given to allow for any additional committee nominations and proposals.
Members will be receiving an explanatory email shortly.
Once a few amendments are made, we will aim to circulate the programme so members can plan for any competitions etc.
